About Us

da Silva Artists, Inc. is owned and operated by Cindy da Silva. Ms. da Silva has been blessed with the opportunity to work with some of music’s heaviest hitters, including legendary producers Tom Dowd, Arif Mardin and Joel Dorn. She has an ear for great music, and is known to be at the right place at the right time.

Ms. da Silva began her professional career in music by running a recording studio in Hoboken, Jolly Roger Recording. She began writing small press releases to help build up business for the studio and soon drew positive attention for the studio. She then created her first management firm, Jolly Roger Management to work with some of the outstanding unsigned talent that came through the recording studio’s doors. She went on to build and run producer Joe Mardin’s recording studio and record label, NuNoise Records, as its General Manager. Shortly after the studio was designed and completed, she decided to return to her real passion, artist management. With some new faces, and some original clients, da Silva Artists boasts a variety of musical flavor.

Ms. da Silva quickly began quenching her thirst for knowledge by assisting music veteran James Hellman with all sorts of productions (Beyoncé at the White House, Max Weinberg at the Rainbow Room, Plug Awards). She landed the ultimate learning experience as Production Assistant and Stage Manager for Rosie O’Donnell’s R Family Vacations 2008 Cruise to Mexico, working with Rosie O’Donnell, Cyndi Lauper, Sheena Easton and Broadway singers Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, Julia Murney, and Kevin Chamberlain.

Ms. da Silva was invited to be a U.S. delegate in this year’s South by SouthWest (SXSW) Manager’s Panel in Austin, TX. She was the only female manager representing the United States in this forum.

A huge recent accomplishment of Ms. da Silva’s is her development of a new business model for emerging artist, Josh Charles. She has partnered with Austin, Texas-based World Wide Maniac and created a detailed business plan – which includes investor-based artist development. Together they have successfully raised funds, created a marketing and PR campaign, along with brand sponsorships and national distribution.

In addition to her passion for music, Ms. da Silva is also extremely devoted to giving back to the community through charity work. She believes artists are given talents to share with the rest of the world, and encourages them to help others in whatever ways they feel passionate about. She gladly donated her time and talents as Production Assistant for Fran Drescher’s Cancer Schmancer organization and helped them record their Franthem at Tainted Blue Studios with Ann Hampton Callaway. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Cancer Schmancer. Ms. da Silva herself has co-founded the Healing Time Foundation with Josh Charles, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose proceeds go toward rebuilding American cities in need, beginning with New Orleans.

Prior to her career in music, Ms. da Silva worked for Verizon’s cutting edge Strategic Sourcing department, which was considered an industry leader in out-of-the-box thinking and developing synergies throughout the company. While at Verizon, she managed strategic sourcing and contract negotiation for Corporate Real Estate and Data Management, led multifunctional teams, and drove consensus regarding supplier and product selection. She also ran training sessions on contract implementation for internal clients as well as suppliers.
